Kanye’s On Pace To Outsell 50 In the First Week
The battle between 50 and Kanye started yesterday (September 11). Early reports indicate that Kanye West’s Graduation is on pace to move over 750,000 copies the first week. While, 50 Cent’s album Curtis is on track to sell 550,000 units.
It’s rumored that West’s is outselling 50 Cent by at least 2 to 1 in the retail stores.
I knew Kanye could outsell 50 in the first week for what ever reason. Why is this happening? Is Kanye’s singles better than 50’s? Is Def Jam(like 50 said) buying Kanye’s record? Is people tired of 50’s music and his cocky behavior? Or did Kanye’s gay fan base come out in large numbers?
We just reported on Highbrid Nation that Kanye is way ahead of 50 Cent in album sells. I gotta admit, I love Kanye’s music but his arogance almost makes me want to see him fail.
You must 50 to fail also, because he is arrogant as hell also. 50 was saying that Kanye/Def Jam was going to purchase some album, but 50 was going to do the same thing, now he’s trying to get his money back by selling it out of a van in Queens.
