Nas And Damian Marley Set To Release “Distant Relatives” In May

A label representative has announced that Nas and Damien Marley’s album “”Distant Relatives” will be in stores stores on Tuesday, May 18th. The album features artist such as, Lil Wayne, K’Naan, Joss Stone, Stephen Marley and the late great Dennis Brown.

“Damian and Nas have made a groundbreaking album that combines the depth and vision of these two artists with a seminal musical and cultural thread of multiple generations,” stated Monte Lipman, President and CEO of Universal Republic Records. “We’re thrilled to play a role on what’s certain to be another pivotal album for both artists and one of the more unique collaborative efforts in recent years.”

The concept of this album is to show how Marley’s reggae roots and Nas’ lyrical skills connect to their African ancestry.

After the album is released, the duo plan to hit the road to tour.
